Exclusive interview: The new heavyweight champion will be watching Tyson Fury take on Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.

Deontay Wilder’s power is enough to turn his fight with Tyson Fury in his favour this weekend. That’s the opinion of Oleksandr Usyk who’ll be tuning into the fight as the landscape at heavyweight becomes a little clearer.

Usyk, fresh from his remarkable victory over Anthony Joshua last month, is in line to face the winner of Fury vs. Wilder and any showdown with the victor is likely to have all four belts on the line.

Despite refusing to pick a winner in the imminent contest, Usyk does believe that Wilder’s power cannot be underestimated.

“I will definitely watch,” said Usyk when speaking exclusively to DAZN's German-language team.

“I don’t think too much about who wins. It will be a good fight. Don’t write Deontay Wilder off since he always has the knock-out punch. I will watch it for sure and I am curious who wins.

“I will fight with whoever holds the last belt. I don’t care if it is Wilder or Fury. No, I am not good at making predictions. The only prediction I give you is that I’ll have a fantastic dinner tonight.”
